With our fast paced and screen time culture it is becoming common knowledge that children and adults alike need to spend more time in nature. Engaging with nature and experiencing the outdoors first hand, boosts cognitive development and promotes healthier, happier minds. In Richard Louv’s book ‘The last child in the woods’ he notes that ‘unlike television, nature does not steal time, it amplifies it. Nature inspires creativity.
Natural play allows children of all ages the well needed space and freedom to explore their bodies ability to move and develop more confidence in themselves and their abilities. To spend time out in nature with our family creates memories that stay with us for life. By choosing to put our screens away and spend time with our family we build connections and memories that will last.
Into the Wild Family Camp
The family camp is fast becoming one of the highlighst of my year. An opportunity to camp and connect with like minded people. Sharing skills. stories and delicious food. A tribe of children and a community of people who feel most connected when out in nature enjoying the simpler pleasures in life.
What to expect ?

• Family Yoga and movement
• Fireside storytelling, music and fun
Food
Breakfast and Vegetarian Lunch will be provided each day. Evening meals include Wood fired pizza and one pot wonder surprises enjoyed around a campfire.
Location
The Hollies is a delightful hobbit hideaway in Enniskeane, West Cork. The camp is off grid, basic but homely (compost toilets and warm showers but no wifi!)
Cost:
€225 per adult/ €180 second adult €115 per child/ €95 additional /Under 4 free.
