19 May Urban Nature Sanctuary Initiative

In 2019 Humanature launched its “Urban Nature Sanctuary” initiative. We are seeking under-utilised/abandoned green spaces in cities, towns and communities with a view to repurpose them as nature connection sites. Our first such sanctuary was gifted us as part of the Green Campus initiative at UCC. Repurposing this site has made possible the delivery of an ongoing Forest School programme for the local Educate Together School and training for students of childcare at Cork College of Commerce.
